Meet me in Louis'

Aug 25 2010

That's right, registration is now open! Click the Register link over there on the right. Then come back. Because there's something I want to talk with you about.

Okay, you're back ... Yes, our venue is Louis' again. Great for transit, easy access to food and beer, comfortable for sitting around, good wireless. Thanks for giving us all those things, Louis'!

Now, if you were there last year, you'll recall that there were ... challenges ... with the venue. Primarily, as I recall, the acoustics. We have some ideas about how to set things up a little differently, and we definitely want to hear your ideas about how to make it better.

Also if there were other ... challenges ... that you remember about the set-up last year, please let us know, and we'll try to make those better too. Because, at heart, we're people pleasers, and you're people. So help us help you. We really like you.

So please comment on this post if you have specific suggestions or concerns that we can address. Thanks for being a part of Barcamp Saskatoon 2010.

Barcamp Saskatoon 2010 is coming!

Aug 17 2010

At last! Barcamp returns to Saskatoon. Mark your calendar now: It's Saturday, October 16. We're not sure where, exactly, yet. Or what time. Or who will be there. Or what they'll do talks about. But we have looooooooads of time to figure all that out.

Right?

Eek. It's sneaking up quick. The organizing committee is trying to figure some of those details out, like where it will be, and what time.

You get to figure out the rest. Everyone is welcome to attend, especially if you have interest in things technical or technology-related.

Another Successful BarCamp

Nov 30 2009

BarCamp 2009 was held on Saturday.

There were some great speakers and lively discussions at Louis' on the U of S campus. The turnout was good, however, the Roughriders playing in the Grey Cup in Calgary may have had a slight impact on the attendees and speakers list.

Special thanks to all of our speakers, volunteers and supporters.

There is also an article called "A conference for the common people" in today's Star Phoenix:

Thanks everyone and see you next year!
